ecce homo... the hollow scourged man, behold... his broken crown atop the king, eyes cast down. What bane has broken his vision awry... what acts have brought his thorns crashing down, how shall we look beyond his tortured remains... how could we touch the hallowed pieces? Where are your gambles now... your gambles now...
holy shit! Grabbed my attention....big time! I would expect nothing less from you, this has reverberations that torque wrench my head! Fierce, fire, mythical imploding contemporary social views?!?! Do I psychobabble too often? I see a whole civilisation collapse in this, yet the silence of so many, as if the lips are useless to move on the stone. Effing powerful...wicked thing {Wild thing?}...wow!
wow this is mesmerizing to look at....it's actually intimidating, and somehow...spiritually involving too...how on earth? What was said that lead to this...and is the pic tampered with or...what?! Crazy...!
lol----you can psychobabble me anytime dearheart; i lvoe your meandering colin.esque thinking. . .and where it leads.. ..and no, the photo was not tampered in any way; i saw this broken image [of what i think is christ] on a church; its a medallion of a disembodied head near the facade of the building; and i took the pic.....onyl after did i see the brown crusty stuff reminiscent of a tear running down his nose. .. and i thought 'holy crap!'....but tis all there in real life [in scotland of course!] scotland...*sigh...and sketso and i were just throwing a convo around about hearts vs hollow, the repercussions of hollowness; is it really that good to feel/feel broken? and it made me think of this pic; the hollow/broken 'man'.. .. hollow/broken world. and thank you for your words; treasured.
It was a conversation that covered a lot of ground, really, starting with a wondering question of what would have happened should the tin man give back his heart, which led to a question about choice: would one rather be hollow than broken? Then it went deeper, somewhat, with one uttered word "hollow.ness"... I attempted to write in the inspiration of this pic, with the "empty.ness" write belonging, and the second write more as a tag-on of sorts.
...and still, thoughts looming over the choice, hollow or broken, linger in my head. 'ness was the true genius here, capturing in a picture more than my words can ever speak. Perhaps this will be the picture that will inspire a thousand words unworthy.
.....youve already blessed me with your thoughts on this meager thing; i didnt really do anything except take a pic of something that fascinated me, and your words reminded me of this little pic i had.. .YOU DID IT. NOT ME....and i cant wait to get to the writes!!

you see what i see; though i truthfully DID NOT SEE the 'tears/blood' until after i took the photo... i was merely taken by the broken.ness of christ, the missing. .. . and then....i saw the brown rivulet...... makes me delightfully shake in my bones. and smile in said 'heart' [aka 'hollow' tinman]
