So there I sat
a ghost
in pain,
doomed
and often haunted.
Innumerable stars
outnumbered me,
the moon shined on
each morning,
as very slowly
in the blink
of an eye
an ill
fitting
end
obtained,
afterwhich
the cage
was gone
and something
else
emerged.
