The myths of salvation
and sin, and grace,
though seeming true,
weren't

nor is there
some great thing
among many
to seek

as if trapped in the dark
of a many doored house

and sitting quietly
these sorts of words
fade back
to what
they just
always were

not keys but the steel
from which cages are made

as I wonder
how it could be
that without the cage
there is an outside
at all

seemed like a entrapment of ideas; the pursuit of freedom, or the stark reality of helplessness yet somehow given gravitas in these words, a cold poignant poem..excellently portrayed
