Sometimes the next right thing
looks pretty damn obvious,
if for no other reason than because
there's always laundry to fold
or dishes to wash
or rugs to vacuum
or letters to write
or papers to file
or zazen to sit.

Other times
the work is more subtle,
pressing,
opaque,

like what to do
with love.
