Sadly, regrettably, I have offended
.....sorrow fills me, my world is upended.
I failed you, I let you down, I made you frown,
.....this can never be forgiven, even for the price of crowns.
Xenolithic I am
.....a small poet inside a larger, simpler man
- and not a great one at that,
.....well great in one way, because I am fat.
Obnubilating my own inner self at times,
.....in trying to come up with a few easy rhymes.
Unaffectionate, unworthy of affection, happily unseen
.....I am not the artist I could have been
This isn't the end, nor the beginning
.....its simply a sign to show you I'm winning.

At first I thought this poem would be cheesy however you played off that and turned it into something real and something worth reading...also very nice ending
